Trump and Melania arrive for church service ahead of inauguration

Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, have just arrived at St John’s Church, marking the first time we’ve seen the president-elect on inauguration day.
The church service – a tradition for incoming presidents – will begin at 08:30 local time (13:30 GMT).

US Vice-President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance also arrived at St John’s Church a short time ago for the service, moments before Donald Trump and his wife Melania’s arrival.

Donald Trump, his family and key figures in his incoming administration are now in St John’s Church in Washington DC.

Tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos attend service
In attendance of the service at St John’s Church on Monday morning include several key figures in Donald Trump’s orbit, as well as influential tech CEOs and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The White House pool reports that Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, as well as Johnson, are all sitting in the same row.
We’ve also spotted media tycoon, Rupert Murdoch and FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Trump, Melania and their son Barron took seats in the front pew and the service is now under way.
